2016 Stallion fees

Tamayuz, a horse whose early stud career was interrupted by injury, but who has now established himself as a proven sire of top class sprinter-milers. He was represented by three improving stakes winners in 2015, all of which have shown the potential to compete at the highest level in future.

The first, Blond Me, had already made good progress in the UK before being sent over to America in the autumn where, after an excellent second in a Gr.2 at Belmont Park, she was hampered twice when finishing close-up in the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Keeneland.

Fadhayyil had a similar stakes-winning profile and, after finishing half a length second in the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot she went on to be a creditable fourth to the triple Gr.1 winner Esoterique in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Finally, the dual Listed winner Tupi is a confirmed firm ground specialist who, given the right conditions, could progress to Gr.1 level in 2016.

Such performances by his progeny didn’t go unnoticed at the sales where Tamayuz’s 2015 yearlings fetched up to €200,000 and averaged €50,000 (21 sold to 14th Oct.).

Meanwhile, our hardy annual Intikhab continued to produce tough and talented racehorses, the latest in a long line being Circus Couture, whose five victories in 2015 included a Gr.3 and a Listed race. He was also Gr.1 and Gr.2 placed, proving himself among the leading three-year-olds in Italy.

Circus Couture was just one contributor to Intikhab’s record of 55% three-year-old winners to runners in 2015, another remarkable achievement by one of the most consistent sires in Europe. Intikhab’s 2015 yearlings also continued to sell solidly, fetching up to €75,000 and averaging €27,000.

Despite relatively few opportunities to date, the Danzig horse Haatef has shown he can produce decent stock. His latest Group winner is Syntax, who has won three races in America, including a Gr.3. Haatef continues to stand at a fee which we think represents great value for money for a sire with his profile.
