Brown continues to Sugar Tamayuz’s excellent season.
The Richard Hannon trained 2yo Tamayuz colt Brown Sugar just does not know when to stop giving as he landed yet another Group 3 race on the 7th of September. After a 3 length defeat to No Nay Never in the Prix Morny, Group 1 at Deauville, Brown Sugar got stuck in to hold off the Charlie Appleby trained Figure Of Speech to land the £22,684.00 pot. On this occasion it was the six furlong Sirenia Stakes, Group 3.
Previously Brown Sugar landed the Group 3 Molecomb stakes over five furlongs. Ridden by Pat Dobbs the Tamayuz colt broke second last but moved in with the leaders with little encouragement and eased down before the line to land the £28,355.00 prize.
Brown Sugar is out of the Titus Livius mare Lady Livius and was purchased by SackvilleDonald at the Goffs yearling sales for €47,500.
