
Tupi answers the Hannon call with second stakes win for this progressive Tamayuz
After Tupi’s great run in Royal Ascot where he finished 4th behind Group 3 Jersey Stakes winner Dutch Connection and second placed Fadhayyil (Tamayuz), Richard Hannon took on the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes at Newmarket on the 9th of July over a mile with this strapping son of Tamayuz.
Tupi delivered yet again to land the spoils and chalk up his second stakes win for his owners Michael Kerr-Dineen and Martin Hughes by 2 and three quarter lengths. Group class is on the cards again with his trainer expressing his love to run him in next year’s Group 1 Lockinge Stakes.
Bred jointly by Rathbarry Stud and Kabansk Ltd, Tupi was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for 100,000gns at the Book 2 Tattersalls sales.
